前缀（七）：共同、远近与正反
共同、远近与正反一图通。 本章讲解表「共同、远、外/内、下/上、此侧/彼侧」的前缀：syn-/sym-/syl-（共）→ synthesis, symbol；tele-（远）→ telescope, telephone；extra-（外、超）→ extraordinary, extract；intra-（内）→ intravenous, intranet；infra-（下）→ infrastructure, infrared；supra-（上）→ supranational, superscript；cis-（此侧）→ cisatlantic, cisgender；trans-（跨、越，巩固）→ transport, transfer。每词配 IPA、释义与例句，并附概念图与总览。
本章逻辑： ① 共同：syn-/sym-/syl-（希腊「一起」，同化变体）。② 远：tele-（远距离）。③ 外/内：extra-（外、超）、intra-（内）。④ 下/上：infra-（下）、supra-（上）。⑤ 此侧/彼侧：cis-（此侧）、trans-（跨到彼侧，第64章已见，此处巩固）。记「syn 共 — tele 远 — extra/intra 外/内 — infra/supra 下/上 — cis/trans 此/彼」。
一、syn- / sym- / syl-：共同
希腊 syn- 表「一起、共同」，在 b/m/p 前同化为 sym-，在 l 前为 syl-。
syn- / sym- / syl- “together, with”
- synthesis /ˈsɪnθəsɪs/ syn- + thesis（放），放到一起 → 综合、合成。例： The synthesis of ideas.
- symbol /ˈsɪmbl/ sym- + bol-（投），（与意义）一起投出的（标记）→ 符号、象征。例： The dove is a symbol of peace.
- sympathy /ˈsɪmpəθi/ sym- + path-（感）+ -y，与（他人）同感 → 同情。例： I have great sympathy for them.
- synonym /ˈsɪnənɪm/ syn- + onym（名），名（义）同 → 同义词。例： “Happy” is a synonym of “joyful”.
- symphony /ˈsɪmfəni/ sym- + phon-（声）+ -y，诸声一起（响）→ 交响乐。例： Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony.
- synchronize /ˈsɪŋkrənaɪz/ syn- + chron-（时）+ -ize，使时间一致 → 同步。例： Synchronize your watch.
- syndrome /ˈsɪndrəʊm/ syn- + drom-（跑）+ -e，（症状）一起跑出来 → 综合征。例： Down syndrome.
二、tele-：远
希腊 tele- 表「远、远距离」。
tele- “far, distant”
- telescope /ˈtelɪskəʊp/ tele- + scope（看），看远处（的仪器）→ 望远镜。例： View the stars through a telescope.
- telephone /ˈtelɪfəʊn/ tele- + phone（声），远距离传声 → 电话。例： She answered the telephone.
- television /ˈtelɪvɪʒn/ tele- + vis-（看）+ -ion，远距离（传）图像 → 电视。例： Watch television.
- telegram /ˈtelɪɡræm/ tele- + gram（写），远距离（传）书写 → 电报。例： Send a telegram.
- telepathy /təˈlepəθi/ tele- + path-（感），远距离（感）知 → 心灵感应。例： Claims of telepathy.
- telegraph /ˈtelɪɡrɑːf/ tele- + graph（写），远距离书写（的装置）→ 电报（机）。例： The telegraph was invented in the 19th century.
三、extra-：外、超
拉丁 extra- 表「在…之外、超出」。
extra- “outside, beyond”
- extraordinary /ɪkˈstrɔːdnri/ extra- + ordinary，超出寻常的 → 非凡的。例： An extraordinary achievement.
- extract /ɪkˈstrækt/ ex-（=extra-）+ tract-（拉），拉出来 → 提取、摘录。例： Extract the key points.
- extravagant /ɪkˈstrævəɡənt/ extra- + vag-（漫游）+ -ant，漫游出（界限）→ 奢侈的、过分的。例： Extravagant spending.
- extracurricular /ˌekstrəkəˈrɪkjələ/ extra- + curricular，课程之外的 → 课外的。例： Extracurricular activities.
- extrapolate /ɪkˈstræpəleɪt/ extra- + pol-（磨、推）+ -ate，推到（数据）之外 → 外推、推断。例： Extrapolate from the sample.
- extraterrestrial /ˌekstrətəˈrestriəl/ extra- + terrestrial（地球的），地球之外的 → 地外的、外星（的）。例： Extraterrestrial life.
四、intra-：内
拉丁 intra- 表「在…之内、内部」。

- intravenous /ˌɪntrəˈviːnəs/ intra- + ven-（静脉）+ -ous，静脉内的 → 静脉内的、静脉注射的。例： Intravenous fluids.
- intramural /ˌɪntrəˈmjʊərəl/ intra- + mur-（墙）+ -al，墙内的（校内）→ 校内的、内部的。例： Intramural sports.
- intranet /ˈɪntrənet/ intra- + net，内部（网）→ 内联网。例： Access the company intranet.
- intrastate /ˌɪntrəˈsteɪt/ intra- + state，州内的 → 州内的。例： Intrastate commerce.
- intracellular /ˌɪntrəˈseljələ/ intra- + cellular，细胞内的。例： Intracellular signaling.

五、infra-：下
拉丁 infra- 表「在…之下、以下」。

- infrared /ˌɪnfrəˈred/ infra- + red，（可见红光）之下的（波段）→ 红外线。例： Infrared cameras.
- infrasonic /ˌɪnfrəˈsɒnɪk/ infra- + sonic，（人耳可听）之下的（频率）→ 次声的。例： Infrasonic waves.
- infrahuman /ˌɪnfrəˈhjuːmən/ infra- + human，低于人类的 → 亚人类的、兽性的。例： Infrahuman conditions.
- infraspecific /ˌɪnfrəspɪˈsɪfɪk/ infra- + specific（种），种以下的（分类）→ 种内的。例： Infraspecific variation.

拉丁 supra- 表「在…之上、超越」。

- supramolecular /ˌsuːprəməˈlekjələ/ supra- + molecular，分子之上的（层次）→ 超分子的。例： Supramolecular chemistry.
- suprarenal /ˌsuːprəˈriːnl/ supra- + renal（肾），肾（上）方的 → 肾上腺的。例： Suprarenal gland.
- superscript /ˈsuːpəskrɪpt/ super-（=supra）+ script（写），写在上方的（字）→ 上标。例： Use a superscript for the exponent.
- supra /ˈsuːprə/ supra（如上、上述），常用于法律/学术引用。例： See the note supra.
七、cis-：此侧
拉丁 cis- 表「在这一侧」，与 trans-（彼侧）相对。
cis- “on this side”
- cisatlantic /ˌsɪsətˈlæntɪk/ cis- + Atlantic，大西洋此侧（的）→ 大西洋此岸的（如美洲视角的欧洲一侧）。例： Cisatlantic trade.
- cisgender /sɪsˈdʒendə/ cis- + gender，（出生指派）性别与此侧一致 → 顺性别。例： A cisgender person.
- cislunar /sɪsˈluːnə/ cis- + lunar（月），月球此侧（地月之间）→ 地月间的。例： Cislunar space.
- cisalpine /sɪsˈælpaɪn/ cis- + Alpine，阿尔卑斯山此侧（罗马视角：意大利一侧）→ 阿尔卑斯山南侧的。例： Cisalpine Gaul.
- cismontane /sɪsˈmɒnteɪn/ cis- + montane（山），山此侧（的）→ 山近侧的。例： Cismontane vegetation.
八、trans-：跨、越（巩固）
拉丁 trans- 表「穿过、到彼侧、转变」（第64章已见，此处巩固并扩展）。
trans- “across, beyond”
- transport /ˈtrænspɔːt/ trans- + port-（运），运到彼侧 → 运输。例： Transport goods by rail.
- transfer /trænsˈfɜː/ trans- + fer-（带），带到彼侧 → 转移、调动。例： Transfer the file.
- translate /trænsˈleɪt/ trans- + lat-（带），（意思）带过去 → 翻译。例： Translate into English.
- transform /trænsˈfɔːm/ trans- + form，形式跨越（改变）→ 转变、变换。例： Transform the data.
- transparent /trænsˈpærənt/ trans- + par-（现）+ -ent，（光）穿过而现 → 透明的。例： Transparent glass.
- transatlantic /ˌtrænzətˈlæntɪk/ trans- + Atlantic，跨越大西洋的 → 横跨大西洋的。例： A transatlantic flight.
extra- 与 intra-
Extra-（外、超）：extraordinary 非凡、extract 提取、extravagant 奢侈、extracurricular 课外、extraterrestrial 地外。 Intra-（内）：intravenous 静脉内、intramural 校内、intranet 内联网、intrastate 州内、intracellular 细胞内。一对表「外 / 内」。
infra- 与 supra-
Infra-（下）：infrastructure 基础设施、infrared 红外线、infrasonic 次声、infrahuman 亚人类。 Supra-（上）：supranational 超国家、supramolecular 超分子、suprarenal 肾上腺的、superscript 上标。一对表「之下 / 之上」。
cis- 与 trans-
Cis-（此侧）：cisatlantic 大西洋此岸、cisgender 顺性别、cislunar 地月间、cisalpine 阿尔卑斯山南侧。 Trans-（跨、彼侧）：transport 运输、transatlantic 横跨大西洋、transfer 转移、translate 翻译、transform 转变、transparent 透明。常成对出现：cisatlantic / transatlantic。
